You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah

Pretty cute, although over the top, but what Sandler movie isn't a bit over the top. I also thought his kids did a nice job in their roles. What I couldn't stand was the youngest constantly playing with her lips. It felt like she just had fillers and was getting used to them. Don't get me wrong, she's an adorable girl, someone either directed her to do the lip thing over and over again or it is just a habit of hers

Here is a man that lives up to the same MAGIC of his on court persona in his everyday life I was born at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing Michigan, same hospital that Earvin was born in 3 years before, so yeah you could say I am bias. The guy is just a person with the same human flaws as the rest of us but his accomplishments, his drive, his ability to see steps ahead in the game and in business... He is pretty amazing

WARNING - If you wanted to feel empty, embarrassed, and somehow cheated then go ahead and watch for the same reason I did... It can't be THAT bad can it? And the answer is YES it can be every bit as bad as the reviews tell you it is The premise was good but wasn't given enough time to develop good characters. The writing was featureless and quite unbelievable for the characters. Editing was off, you feel the story is discombobulated, why include kissing and an intimate relationship without having the time to make it feel real. Not sure if I can blame the actors entirely? They were about as flat as flat can be, but what did they have to work with?

This film could have been.... Kidman was probably a poor choice, also what was the issue with her eyes in this film? They are always bloodshot and often look as though she has jaundice. Kidman portrays Grace as childish and immature, a manner not shown by Grace Kelly when out in public. Grace's speech near the end was terrible. It's hard to believe a princess would have given a speech like that, the words maybe but the delivery?!?

The film does a great job of illustrating an amazing often misunderstood lesson, the simplest creatures can and will reach out to us, on our level, if we allow it. When we connect we again realize they do think and feel as we do. Not loving he made choices not to help her when she needed it. She thought of him as a protector of sorts. He interfered in her life and surroundings the day he reached out to her. Protecting her when possible or holding her at the end would not have altered the outcome, therefore, I do not understand nor agree with his choice not to.
