Dreadful direction, all the hall marks of a film written and directed by the same person. It was clunky and frankly all over the place. Not even the brilliant Sairose Ronan could save it. And the decision to cast Paul Weller alongside an award winning actress was laughable, he was so stiff, it was embarrassing. The only decent East End accent was delivered by Stephen Graham a Scouser, but his part in the film was farcical Dickensian drama.
