I loved everything about this book. The writing is beautiful. McConaghy gives the reader free reign to imagine every scene and never underestimates her readers. She gives nothing away. This was such an incredible voyage in so many different ways. Heartbreaking and so full of wonderful insight. I have not cried for quite a while over a great story or felt such a deep sadness for our world and all we have already lost and what we will eventually lose in quite a long time. We all know how much we have to lose and this book reminds all of us to do the best we can while we can. Fantastic book.
