I am only a few hours in but I am stunned at the dark beauty and addictive game play. I love the fact that the game developers are taunting and mocking you with their little "hint" stones throughout. I have never played any of From Software's other titles, but this one definitely has me hooked. Normally, I get really frustrated when I have to die a lot and have to repeat battles and sequences over and over but this game doesn't do that to me even though I've been dying a lot LOL... I'm too busy rethinking my strategy and how I'm going to try it next time to be frustrated. Plus, some of the enemies and tricks are so clever I just have to stop and say, "well done you clever SOB's". I love the fact that you are never completely safe in this game. The one time I felt confident that I cleared out all of the "enemy" soldiers, a wild boar comes charging at me and I'm like really?? But that's what a good game SHOULD do... keep you on your toes, always alert. Like I said I'm still at the beginning stages of the game, and I may change this review if I encounter something that ruins the experience, but so far I am in awe of this game... it's like Skyrim grew up and got an attitude. I am playing it on PS4 and I have had absolutely NO technical issues or resolution issues so far. A perfect game.... I predict game of the year!!!
