I bought Violet. As a long time Pokémon fan, I was really excited for this game. Unfortunately, it fell somewhat short. The graphics aren’t the worst but they definitely aren’t the best, but the texture they added to the Pokémon themselves is great. The new Pokémon grow on you but I, personally, am not a fan of the iron variants. Yes, it makes sense plot-wise but I felt it was just not that creative or fun? The crater story line and the plot isn’t terrible but I genuinely cannot stand the academy. The sandwich mini game game is like if cooking mama was terrible and I preferred the curry system over the picnic system. However, despite all of its shortcomings, the game is still fun to play so I wouldn’t say it’s a complete failure.
