It makes people uncomfortable and defensive. It should. This is truly a horror series and if it wasn't steeped in so much of what black lives have had to endure in this country it probably wouldn't be as painful to watch. The artistry of the acting and the way the scenes are shot is masterful. It is worth watching and asking oneself, how do people endure such overt and micro aggressions, violence and injustice without losing their minds.
