Imma lay my two cents here and just say, this movie is a charm.
There are matters of the story being all over the place (I understand), and even the orphan services scene could’ve been fixed up a bit (thankfully fans have painted the services with more colors), but other than those flaws (and if you can get past them), this movie is worth viewing if you’re up for stories. Though I do recommend watching the book first (are you happy, school system?), the movie is just as good. The characters, the soundtrack, the art style, and the happily ever after that the movie gives, The Willoughbys definitely gave me something to watch during the dreaded times. And it even gave me a friend.
If you have the time and need a quick laugh, or your kids are in the mood, check this movie out.
Please do have a chat with them about the orphan services scene though; I feel like you can present a better image for them.
