I know this reveiw is years after, but I couldn't help but give it such a good review after reading a few negative comments. The movie was a great comedy for 1(definitely seen worse). Would say if your looking for laughs, watch the movie.*SPOILER ALERT* Constantly having relatable dad and son moments kept the humor going too. A thing many people judge this movie for is how it ended. Many people from what I've read believe that it shouldn't have had you feeling sympathy for him despite the cheating, and i agree actually. He had this coming eventually, and it was unfair to his wife. However. I do sympathize with the "wanting to be apart of the kids life" aspect. His parents wanted him to be with this woman, but he didn't feel it was true love. However the love for his kids is true. Not saying he made the right decision, if anything he went off the rails, but this is a literal scenario of "you can't have your cake and eat it". I also want to keep in mind that the movie was made to be funny, which it suceeds. Due to him trying to have both lifes we got to experience a funny downfall of a man trying to have it all. And i do mean downfall. He didn't win in the end. He can't even get his son for a holiday from what we can tell. He knows he lost it all, and that he had it coming, he even gave up on the spot because he knew it was over. but i do believe he truly loved his kids. I hope with this review some may change their minds on having the movie make you see him as a good guy, and instead see the downfall of a man in a comedic matter.
