DiDi, though featuring commendable performances and a heartfelt coming-of-age story, unfortunately falls into the trap of reinforcing stereotypical narratives about Asian communities. Much like Crazy Rich Asians, it appears to prioritize appealing to a Hollywood and predominantly white audience, possibly to secure funding, at the expense of nuanced and authentic character portrayal. While some may find its tenderness endearing, I found it to be a cringeworthy experience that left me feeling disheartened.

I fail to comprehend why this Godzilla movie is hailed as a "cinematic masterpiece." The special effects appear amateurish and borderline horrible, especially when compared to the previous Hollywood version. The actors' performances are excessively over the top, with constant yelling and screaming that feels exaggerated, as if the audience is presumed to be half-deaf. For me, it's just an okay film overall, lacking both in special effects and good acting.
