As a '07 liner, it's funny to realize that I hadn't even been conceived when JAG ended. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed JAG. In many ways, it's a window into the past before everything went south.
That is, of course, until the writers started shooting fentanyl and smoking crack in the middle of season 7. This is the danger of letting a show run way too long and letting the 'slow burn' burn too long. Harm and Mac should have gotten together mid to late season 7, and the show should have at least ended by season 8. There was no need to extend it for that long; it went from entertaining military legal drama to a soap opera-thriller-spy-action.
That aside, I found it entertaining. While a reboot would be nice, I would hate to see such an excellent show butchered by today's increasingly drug-addicted writers who seem to dominate TV writing rooms.
