No hate to the cast, but this show was terrible. It's been on my watch list since the emmy's, so I watched the whole first season through waiting for it to demonstrate what made it an academy winner. The Academy just cares about sex and drugs and A-listers. I was specifically disappointed in Mike White's decision to make the gay man the stereotypical pervy predator who hits on young subordinates and married men. Almost no characters have any likeable qualities about them, I guess the only characters you're supposed to like are the poc's, who of course get trampled on while the white characters ride off into the sunset. It's a poor social commentary told through another white persons lense.
