I have love hate feelings for this show. On one hand the show does a good job in discussing the origins and cultural significance of certain foods, on the other this show uses racism as a cudgel whenever it runs out of talking points. Everyone understands that a lack of understanding for more diverse or ab-west foods can play a part in prevailing stereotypes but whenever the show hits a low point they always seem to bring the conversation back to racism. The truth is not everyone is out to get you. Just because some people don't like American Chinese food doesn't mean that they're bigoted, just like not caring for Italian food because it's too rich tasting doesn't mean i hate Italians. If the show tried less to 'stir the pot' (zing) with drama and focused more on the food itself and why it's important this show would be 5 stars for me.

I think this is the best show CN has put out in a long time. It has funny and cleaver moments and legitimately good plots. The show is geared towards children but possesses content, humor, and action sequences likely to fly far over their heads an right into the lap of older generations. The show is a roller coaster riding between near obscenely hyperactive sequences of action and humor, to melodrama, to somber messages of the dangers of emotional abuse and advocacy for mental well being. I love everything about this show, and recommend it to anyone willing to get hooked into a new show.

I love this show. The series is a more modern take on a high fantasy world, and has the writing to back it up. The show has relatable characters with deep design that casts a wide enough net to have everything for everyone without it damaging the story. Final take: the story is amazing, the characters are deep, the action has me on the edge of my seat, and the comedy is gold.
