Very disappointing for a diehard Sherlock fan. The book is a very pale reflection of Dr. Doyle’s earlier work. There is very little mystery, and certainly none of the keen detail typical of previous Sherlock collections. The characters don’t behave in their previously established manner. It almost seems like a different person wrote this collection of stories.
