This is the bluntest review anyone will read regarding this game. I was an OG Verdansk sweat. I have played Warzone since its release and have also played Warzone 2 up until a month or so ago. Warzone 2 is terrible. Whoever thought to change the core mechanics of gameplay including player movement was a total fool and had no idea and/or experience of playing this game. Whoever thought to add a huge map instead of a Verdansk sized one so the gameplay would become tedious and lacklustre is also a fool and had no experience of playing this game. It just isn’t engaging anymore. Both Caldera and Al Mazra are too big and it just takes away all the good about how the game felt on Verdansk and should feel now. Al Bagra Fortess was an absolute hilarity and the fact they even had the cheek to market it as a new resurgence experience should be sacked as it was completely false advertising. It’s mini royal on Al Mazra with the same zone every time. How fun. There are so many stupid decisions that were made for Warzone 2 like getting rid of loadouts for instance. Like why would that even be a consideration! It’s literally the USP of the game. All they did was revert it and go back to loadouts anyway. So it’s clear to see that the developers in charge had no clue of what was good about the game. As of now the game is just dead. You can’t play more than a couple of games before you just get bored. The maps aren’t great and it just doesn’t feel the same as Warzone 1 in soooo many ways. Caldera was terrible and this is when the change started.. The people in charge of Warzone 2’s development had something so good to tweak and enhance but now it’s dead in the water because they changed so much so unnecessarily.
