Ancient Ritual

An amazing story from both sides of a potential conflict and a great insight into the people who could have been behind it. A massive undertaking to tell the war from both sides and several different points of view. Could such a war have happened in the 1980’s? Having grown up during this time period, it was always in the back of our minds at least until Mikhail Gorbachev became the first General Secretary to seem to seek an end to the Cold War. Clancy’s ability to weave his blend of story telling with his knowledge of tactics and ordinances is superb. I have never read a story, about any possible war, as good as this. A great read. One of the best books that I have ever read. Quite simply worth 5 stars.
