I loved that this movie was set in the 80's when hip hop culture was really at the top of the game. Leaving the 70's Black Power and Natural hair behind for the creamy crack to the weave. How Black women looked at themselves as far as hair and what was acceptable. The ending was like WHOA!! It started in my opinion, still some type of slavery! Definitely a culture watch!!
