I loved so many things about this movie! The beautiful location, the language (I’m Latina), the sweet relationship between Memo & his uncle and the amazing performance by Jorge Garcia. And his singing - wow, what an unexpected surprise.

I love foreign films and really enjoyed hearing three different languages in this one. Ardalan Esmaili did such a great job in emoting the desperation, loneliness and ultimately, the regret, he felt. I found the Danish Iranian culture fascinating.

It breaks my heart to see children suffer and this movie brought the painful reality home as to what many children go through in this world. Beautiful acting all the way around; especially by the children. Very well done.

This was a perfect movie to watch this Easter Sunday as we self quarantined in our home. A movie that reminds us about God’s faithfulness and His plans for our lives; even when the odds seem stacked against us. I loved the scene where satan (the man who is whittling) is trying to persuade Marty to turn his back on God but Marty keeps getting reminders of the miracles in Brandon’s life and how much he trusted God and he finally tells satan to leave him alone. James 4:7 ~ Surrender yourself to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Amen!

Outstanding performances by Shia and Zack. Genuinely believed in their friendship. Also enjoyed Dakota and Thomas in their roles. I love these kind of movies with simple storytelling that isn’t far fetched.

DO NOT WATCH this really, really, really bad movie. Although if you decide to look at it from a “ridiculous all the way around” perspective, you can laugh and pretend it’s a comedy.
