This movie was actually amazing! Even though pinocchio is a children movie or story, this Pinocchio was not one of them. Firstly, at the beginning, it shows how bad is losing a child. While showing that, it uses war because of the time that story happens is WW2 and I would do it same way. Secondly, it wasn't very stressed but Geppetto becomes alcholic. Here, Del Toro wants to show us bad things that happened can get us to wrong ways. Moreover, after these, story goes as normal Pinocchio.Geppetto makes Pinocchio, Pinocchio becomes a living object, then Pinocchio goes to school, to be more disciplined. After that, Piocchio gets fooled to be a star in the circus. Furthermore, he becomes famous and circus plans a show to Mussolini. Here, Pinocchio is being killed by Mussolini's men because of he didn't like Pinocchio's show. And this shows us dictators of that time could do everything they want. Finally, Pinocchio goes to a youth camp to be a solider. While Pinocchio was at camp, movie shows a large amount of fascism. Camp gets bombed, and Pinocchio survives. And then, director makes no changes at Pinocchio, because I think he gave all of the messages that he wants us to understand. In conclusion, film takes Pinocchio to a different level, and I am so satisfied that I watched that movie.
