I am a huge Marvel fan, and every single MCU movie (well, almost every single movie) has been fantastic. Now, I had high expectations for Black Panther. The trailers looked incredible, so I walked into the theater with sky high standards. Even being this high, Marvel managed to exceed my highest expectations. This movie is gripping, action packed, and full of deep, raw character development that you just can't find anywhere else. Marvel hit it out of the park with this one!

I was torn on this movie originally. I expected an action-packed joyride, but by the time the credits scrolled, I only found an outdated, boring attempt at a superhero movie. I wanted to like it a lot, but I found it cheesy to the point where it is not one of my favorite Marvel films.

I would recommend watching Inside Out instead. First of all, the story line is more or less the same, the animation is much more intricate, and the jokes have more meaning to them. Inside Out came into theaters first, and the Emoji Movie copied it. All I can say about that is, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

It is strange that the backlash has been so evident. It was a great movie with amazing special effects and a small sense of horror as well. I would definitely rate it with AT LEAST a 9/10. It was a great movie - I definitely recommend it!
