Remothered: Broken Porcelain, the direct sequel, AND prequel to Remothered: Tormented Fathers.
Can I say, first of all, that the game is an absolute joke! Completely laughable! It wasn't well thought out at all, and was completely rushed.
So, you have Stefano Ashmann, a supposed kiddie fiddler, heading the Ashmann Inn, a hotel and home for mentally disturbed kids and teenagers. No one would hire a kiddie fiddler to work with children, so there's definitely something wrong there.
The "story", if you can call it that, was all over the place. It went from the future, to the past, to the present, to the past, to the future, and so forth. It was very difficult to keep up. It had both me and my fiancée feeling confused.
Towards the end, you find out that this Linn character was the Dr. Rosemary Reed character you played as in Remothered: Tormented Fathers. I understand the need for the disguise when she interrogated Dr. Richard Felton, but come on!
The game itself is so, so, so buggy! There are glitches everywhere. The game doesn't save properly, so if I die, or if I have to reload my save due to a glitch preventing me from advancing on, it would take me back well before I got to my last point. A lot of cutscenes appear to only run at approximately 15-30fps instead of the usual 60-80fps, causing the video to appear out of sync with the audio/dialogue. The glitches also caused me to not get a chance to run away from enemies, and the AI controlling the enemies makes things nearly impossible for the player.
The only thing I can praise this game for is the appearance and graphics. Everything else is just wrong.
If you've made it this far, thanks for reading.
Do not play! Not worth the £25.
