Im writing this at the end of October 2024 and the witcher 3 the wild hunt is still, to this day, the best game I've ever played. It's pretty much perfect in every way. It's aged really well. Still feels new. I love this game. Edited 4th Dec 2024. Playing the DLC expansions, and never have I been more happy just playing a game in my spare time. Can't wait for the 4th game.

1st of all I never played alan wake 1. So it took some effort to understand the cerebral plot. That aside, the combat was pretty good. And I like the puzzles, some of the best in recent games. In my opinion anyway. A major let down is the "mind room" which was tedious, especially at the end. I got Alan Wake 2 within a week of its release. And looked forward to the DLC's. But they were not as good as a hoped. That aside I'm playing it again on a new game and on nightmare difficulty, and I'm really enjoying it.

I just can't get into "medium". I didn't know they'd be zero combat. It never occurred to me that this was even a possibility. That aside. I gave it a good few hour. But i uninstalled it. Gutted. I paid the full £39.99 price. What a waste of money. Sigh!

Originally gave this 3 stars because its nothing special. But had to change it 2 star because of all the glitches. Spent ages looking for a exquisite bone. Finally found 1 and it was glitched half way inside a mountain side and couldn't be harvested. This is just 1 in a long list of stupid problems this game has. Poor effort devs. Re-edited about 9 months or more later. Still haven't completed it. Just can't get in to it. It feels like I've played it a million times before. It's just so average and generic. And it has really poor upgradability for my character. Nothing to keep me interested. The visuals are the only upside.

So far, apart from the clumsy and awkward melee combat, pretty good game. I only played a demo of the original. But this looks and feels familiar. So I guess they went with keeping to the original feel. I like it. A typical Japanese cerebral story, set in the usa. There's a bit of an issue with interacting with some items. But it's not a major problem. I can't wait for the DLC's. And any other remastered titles. The 1st game. Bet we got a few years before anything like that. My overall opinion is. If you like survival horror games, or just like the original, then you will definitely love silent hill 2 remastered. I do. Haven't played anything else since it's release 1 week ago. Oh, and the visuals when fighting angelas "daddy" are amazing.

Nothing special. But is a good way to kill some time. I like it. I just don't love it. Definitely deserves at least 3 stars.

The fact we (the players) are punished for struggling, by deducting legend points when we die, takes all the fun out of the game. And if a game isn't fun, then it's a bad game. Feeling so frustrated, that I feel the need to stop playing and write a trash review, isn't fun. And I paid for this. All I can do is try and cheat the game by pausing and quitting just before I die. Or just play on easy difficulty. This isn't what playing a video game should be like. Being punished isn't fun, ever. And just one more thing. The final boss fight with waltz is so poorly scripted. I'm not talking about the dialogue. I mean the fight sequences. Just as waltz health hits 0. We lose control briefly and pass out. 4 times. It's annoying. You have to play the final boss to really know what I mean.

Edited after completion: any fans of the old resident evil games from the ps1 era will love this. Re2 remake is hands down the best resident evil game. Period. If I could give it another star, I would. Re2 remake is exactly what I've been wanting from capcom since xbox 360 era. Re5 and re6 have a place amongst my most hated games. I think the completely unimaginative step of giving zombies guns completely ruined the franchise. And the insistence on making resident evil games in which we have a the burden of an NPC partner. I hate that in survival games. It just ruins the entire experience. And re7 was sooo boring after the 1st playthrough. Re8 is only OK as a stand alone game. But never felt like a resident evil game to me. And the remake of re3 was just terrible and felt cheap. Re4 remake was ruined by one simple word "Ashley". But with this remake of re2. Capcom nailed it. This is how resident evil games should be with the new gen consoles.

Resident evil 3 original for ps1 was one of the best gaming experiences of my young life. So I was looking forward to the remake. Even thou it's not faithful to the original. I tried judging it on whether or not it was a good stand alone game. And I have to say, its one of the worst games I've played. It's so clumsy. It felt cheap. I think capcom have become a none entity in the world of developing good games. I've not like any of the Resident evil game since the re4 original. On ps2. The games that were available for xbox 360. Re5 and re6 ruined the franchise. Giving zombies guns. How much imagination did that take?

Having Ashley around for way to long. She is a total burden and completely ruins the game. I'm so desperate to get rid of her. Having a NPC partner is a burden in any game, but re4 is on a whole different level. She is really stressing me out and I wish she would just die or turn into a zombie so I can just shoot her and finally have some fun playing a game.
