This show absolutely reeks of being made entirely for TV critics (like everything Apple TV+ makes). I love everyone in this show but this doesn't do them any favors. It feels like "understood to be comedic" arthouse comedy, filled with a cast of people who aren't about that at all. Turns out that means everyone comes off as a bunch of amateurs getting their big break. In short, like everyone else said: grating and try hard.
