No character development. I left the movie knowing less about the characters than when I entered the theater. Guess you have to read the books to understand the movie. I know when I’m sitting in a bad movie when I think to myself, “maybe I can enjoy the CG.” Then I fall asleep. I couldn’t stand the main character, was he a hunchback? He always looked confused like he wanted to ask the pretty girl to prom and was to scared to do it and just stared at her awkwardly instead. Double thumbs down.
