"One episode, one planet, one story." About time! And I think I share the feelings of those who are sick of Dark Trek. Time for some optimism on this and all planets! Characters are very good so far, esp. Uhura (although she physically looks so different that it is constantly taking me aback). I agree about the occasional plot holes and McGuffins -- as one commentator noted, we need to at least try to throw science into Sci-Fi. Had to laugh at some of the smaller electronics -- one reader type device looked like a TI calculator from the 70s! LOL, but delightful actually. Retro is fine, take the money spent on countless special effects and give it to the actors is ok by me. My only negative comment is the show tends to be too talky in situations where serious personnel would be doing actual critical stuff, not making clever chit-chat. Less talk, more work! :-) Keep it up! We're all counting on you.
