Ali Abbas Zafar 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' is decent action entertainer. The film is full of action but misses the strong dramatic portions. The story is good and screenplay could have been better. The dialogues did not have that high punch. The cinematography by Marcin Lasakevic is good. The action is excellent. The music by Julius Packiam is average. Akshay Kumar & Tiger Shroff have good chemistry and have sarcastic humour around them. Both are good in action portions. Manushi Chillar is good and has nice action blocks. Prithviraj is a scene stealer and should have had few more scenes. Ronit Roy has given wonderful performance. The film could have cut few action scenes and added good drama between hero and villain. My rating will be 3/5.

Aditya Jambhale directed 'Article 370' is a brilliant political film. The film story is based on real life incidents on why & how Article 370 got removed from Jammu & Kashmir. The film is well researched and has good detailing. The screenplay has been divided into 6 chapters. The film has more realistic approach but keeps you intrigued. This film is for audience who like serious realistic films. Yami Gautam has given a terrific performance as NIA Officer. Priyamani is excellent. Arun Govil as Prime Minister Narendra Modi & Kiran Kamarkar as Home Minister Amit Shah are superlative. Raj Zutsi as Omar Abdullah has given good performance. There are few brilliant scenes which needs to be mentioned. Yami Gautam telling about Kashmir reality to Priyamani in her home is the pulse of the film. Kiran Kamarakar addressing Rajya Sabha at climax on abrogating Article 370 is major highlight scene. The majority audience in theatres hooting and clapping on these scenes. 'Article 370' is one of well researched political drama.

Anand L Rai 'Raksha Bandhan' is a decent entertainer. The film story is talking about dowry system with mix of humour and emotions. The film has North India flavor. The screenplay by Himanshu Sharma & Kanika Dhillon is average as the focus is more on Akshay Kumar character of Lala Kedarnath. None of sister characters have been etched well. The film editing by Hemal Kothari could have been better. The film could have been 20 minutes longer with sisters character having some flesh. You have couple of good emotional scenes. There is body shaming and colour discrimination in name of brother sister love. The climax of the film couldn't justify properly on dowry system. The love story angle between Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in 2nd half could have been trimmed. Himesh Reshmaiya music in the film is top notch. Akshay Kumar is good in both comic and emotional scenes. Bhumi Pednekar is superlative. It's not a great film but decent timepass. My rating will be 2.5/5.

The web series 'Paatal Lok' in Amazon Prime is one of best crime thrillers made. It is starkingly dark drama with terrific performances from all actors. A word of caution is that the show should only be viewed by adults.This medium is giving film makers with better freedom to give real good content and you are able to develop background story for most characters in the story. The story is hard hitting and screenplay very gripping. The dialogues are top notch. The background score is highlight in the story. It has been produced by Anushka Sharma 'Clean Slate Films'. They have been making really good content. Jaideep Ahalwat as Cop Hathiram Chaudhry is brilliant and holds the show. Neeraj Kabi as Media Baron Sanjeev Mehra is excellent and matches the sophisticated looks well. Abhishek Banarjee as 'Vishal Hathoda Tyagi' may have a small important role but very impactful. He speaks through his eyes. The one interesting aspect is background stories about the criminals in the story and you really feel with what they have gone through. My rating will be 9/10.

Rohit Shetty 'Sooryavanshi' is a good masala entertainer. This film belongs to the film maker for creating lot of mass moments with helicopter shots, bike chasing scene and action. The screenplay by Yunus Sajawal has good amount of humor and every character big or small get their moment in the film. The villains also have their emotional moments in the film. There is one scene in the film which shows communal harmony in wonderful manner. Akshay Kumar as Veer Sooryavanshi is superlative in action and comedy. Katrina Kaif is decent and couldn't create same magic as Raveena Tandon in reprised song 'Tip Tip Barsa Pani'. Ranveer Singh as Simba in special appearance steals the show with his comic timing. Ajay Devgan as Singham in guest appearance leaves his impact in action in climax. The music of the film could have been better. It is good timepass film and will rate it 3.5/5.

Sharan Sharma directed 'Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl' in Netflix is brilliant biographical story. The part of the film is a war drama but mostly about her struggles to get into Airforce and post that. The relationship between her and father, who motivates her to achieve her dreams is important crux of the story. The screenplay and dialogues are excellent. The cinematography is good especially the Helicopter scenes. The music is decent and suits the mood of the film. Jhanvi Kapoor as Gunjan Saxena has given superlative performance. Pankaj Tripathi is mind blowing and a scene stealer in Father's role. He has best lines in the film. Vineet Kumar and Angad Bedi are good. It's a well made film. My rating would be 4/5.
