I’ve just decided what the problem with the show , for me, is. Effects are good, plot is bearable (just), music ok, but…. I felt nothing. I watched bluey with my kids today, it made me laugh, made me cry and I connected to a family of cartoon dogs. Ashoka, the good guys were cold, stoic and uninteresting. The bad guys provided no chills, no real challenge. The David Tennent robot provided the only humour and Baylan the only slight intrigue (but no payoff). The small part characters were all 1 dimensional cardboard. I watched , it looked pretty and I didn’t feel anything. I wanted the show to work, but it didn’t, why should I go back to watch more.
