I feel like all the essence of the original material were lost. The main characters are completely different from what we have in the original. They lack emotions and motivations. Netflix twisted even the most interesting relationships like Zhou-Zuko, Iroh-Zuko, Katara-Sokka, Sokka-Suki, Aang-Roky,Bumi-Aang Kyoshi-Aang even the relation between the past lifes of the Avatars (as if they don't have a connection anymore) to something that we don't recognize anymore. They are all different characters now. Most of the arches that help build their character and motivations were removed or changed in a way that even the cultural rich aspect of the original material were lost. As a fan of the franchise, I feel disappointed to yet again, to see such aa incredible story, rich in cultural details and profund characters and history, be treated that way.
