Well where do I start.... My name is Ashley Dickey I was admitted in July 2019 at Methodist hospital located at 1411 N Beckley Ave Dallas, Texas 75203; at cross street Colorado. Everything was great, until I found out that one of the Registered Nurses stole my identity during my admission. In July 2019, I was notified by passport investigative services that someone was trying to obtain a passport in my name. This Registered Nurse even went online to secure a social security card and a birth certificate using my identity that was submitted with the passport; this is what triggered the call to me. As a result my credit was impacted. I was trying to get a first time home buyer loan but I had to put everything on hold because of my credit being so messed due to identity theft. I have been going through this alone for almost a year with no results and this Registered Nurse is still practicing with an active license in the state of Texas. We are supposed to feel safe in the hospital and our information is supposed to be protected. Nurses are supposed to be an advocate for the patient, but instead I became a victim of identity theft and a victim of one of Dallas Methodist hospital employees. Not only did this happen to me but I was informed she has done this to several patients at the SAME hospital, around this time. She also has done this at 9 different hospitals. Nothing has been done to this her. She needs to be stopped and the hospital should be held accountable for the actions of the people they hire. Methodist hospital is trying to keep it discreet but I will not let this person nor Methodist get away with this!! I have already contacted a lawyer, called channel 4, 11, 8, and 33; I called k104 and now I am filing a complaint with the Texas Board of Nursing. I can not release her name because this is an active investigation.
This is not about money but vulnerability and my life has been impacted by the actions of this employee and Methodist hospital; they need to pay for what they have done to me and others. I have reached out to the Radio station and News channels. I’m just going to keep on praying about this situation. I know It will get better for me and the others who got robbed of our identity....dignity.... Life....my hope is to stop 🛑 this from happening to another person who may unknowingly become a victim of this predator of confidential information. Y’all I just don’t what else
to do.
