Excellent film, great story but the production had too many American actors in it which made it rather glossy. Terrific acting, beautiful music and wonderful costumes. The lead actors were believable in their love for each other, and gave genuinely good performances.

Cosmo Jarvis was poor as Captain Wentworth. Modern times inserted into Jane Austen times just don’t work. Acting throughout not up to scratch except for Louisa. Weak performances but, as ever, good story.
