NO SPOILERS. I won’t complain about not being able to see the monsters (it’s a cosmic/lovecraftian horror, so it’s part of the genre), but I will totally complain about the lazy writing.
The first minutes of the movie caught my attention, since we’d be watching from a different perspective, but then almost everything in the following scenes happens simply because they have to. Secondary characters barely had screen presence as we couldn’t get minimally attached to them, and the end was very predictable since from the beginning. Important dialogs and motives are kinda shallow, and key points turn out to be dumb luck.
My personal recommendation: don’t watch unless you want a brain fart or have unimportant time to waste. Tks.
