Imagining a ‘new religion’ of ‘woke’ people who want to dismantle civil society and tell us what to do and think is absurd when we’ve had the evangelical right doing just that for decades. Whether you’re American or Canadian know this: no mob of ‘woke’ people is going to burn your books, outlaw abortion or interpret the world through outdated ‘scripture.’ That’s the purview of the evangelical right and their stooges.
