Having been an Elvis fan since the age of 5, (I am 36 now) I am a pretty tough critic when it comes to anybody who is going to try and emulate, impersonate, pay tribute, etc when it comes to Elvis Presley. I can honestly say without any question this was the closest I’ve seen any actor or musician come to embodying all of him. Never has there been the looks, the sound, the charisma all in one performance other than from the Original. Such thought and diligence went in to even the smallest details, such as Elvis referring to his mom as “Satnin” (his pet name for her) throughout the movie. I believe Elvis would be proud and say they got it right. This may be Elvis’ chance to finally be taken for a serious actor! Would love to see this film or Austin Butler be given an Oscar Nom!
