So-so movie - I really wanted to like it out of respect for Clint Eastwood, but the script was very basic, and uneven at some junctures. (I've been in a jury and people take it seriously - they don't just want to go home and not care about the person on trial.) The jurors were simplistic characters with stereotypical lines. The lead character and his wife did not give us a sense of believability. I mean, the wife was more concerned about weather he had a drink in the bar than if he ran over and killed a woman. Yet she is portrayed as pure in her demeanor for giving him a second chance and as a loving person - so that made no sense as a character. I liked the plot - just poorly written - could have been so much more.
