This is the furthest thing from a sincere war documentary. It's not about the soldiers or what they are going through. It's about these two reporters and their drama. The movie is ridiculously over dramatized which in turn undermines the actual severity of the situations, and takes away the seriousness. War is not a Hollywood action film. When you put action music in a real life situation, you are taking away the real life horror, and you are portraying those experiences as if it were a movie. I honestly feel horrible for the soldiers who had to risk their lives to protect these idiots for them to just turn around and portray it like this. The film to me seems disrespectful. If you want something that is not dramatized and seems way more sincere, watch Restrepo.

He calls himself a “dark tourist” but complains and moans about each place he goes to, disrespects everyone involved, and gives unsolicited, divisive opinions about everything he sees. If the point of the show is to showcase and memorialize infamous places and events in history, then it is a failure because of this annoying host. Not to mention some of the scenes seem very written, cheesy and fake. For example, in the phone call with the British prisoner, the museum owner is holding the phone upside down.

-1 star for the security camera parts just because I felt like there could have been a better way to play that whole thing out. 4 Stars because to great disagreement with some of the other reviews, I was definitely not bored and it had my attention the entire time. It was very artistic , I love movies that care more about the product and taking its time to tell the story rather than the big budget movies made through streaming for literally just crowd appeal. (*cough netflix originals*) I find things that are on Amazon to be better for some reason.
