I get where this movie was trying to go, I really do, but it was WAAAY too long and frankly BORING. I was over it after 45 minutes only to realize this movie is over two hours long! There is no real climax in this movie and the ending is.....meh. 1/5 stars for sure and I have no plans on ever rewatching it again.

This movie didn't have to be this way. An unoriginal, non scary, plot hole driven disappointment. The emotional disconnect amongst the "family members" as they are slowly picked off and die brutal deaths if is appalling weird. If they don't care that they are watching each other die off, why should I care? All the actors, besides the possessed mom felt like amateur actors and it definitely showed. It's a GORE fest, and if you are into that kind of thing with ZERO plot, or at least a plot that makes sense, this is the film for you. I don't mind gore but even that left much to be desired because most of it was unoriginal. The ending was a cheap cop out that that felt so empty considering all the time I had already wasted watching this film in the first place. If you haven't seen the 2013 remake, skip this and watch that instead. And if you have seen it, the latter advice still applies.
