Appalling in every way, except the settings. Typical marble cloisters and beautiful vast halls in a tranquil Italian countryside. No nun would have such an opulent bedroom or be allowed long hair by the way. The whole thing was ridiculous and the story line what there was of it, was tired and re- hashed nonsense, with the usual evil, sinister nuns and mad priest. Set in modern times yet seemingly there was no electric light- just candles at night for the by now long over worked “atmospheric” effect. No nuns ate so well at sumptuous dinners, nor apart from hanging a few sheets, did any of them seem to do any work. The Mass rituals were out of date and totally inaccurate. All just a concerted effort to create an aura of menace but failing miserably to the discerning eye, as it was without any substance and was just a parody of the old Hammer films.
No matter how bored you are don’t waste your money or time-go for a walk! Doesn’t deserve even one star but had to award it that to post the review.
