I've played every battlefield released since the 2002 release of 1942.
1. The UI is terrible (seriously... It's trash) and has no cursor to make up for its confusing lack of useability.
2. The game stutters badly, running about as smooth as coarse sea salt.
3. 20%-30% of all bullets that hit don't register
4. Bad landscape clipping when you're firing prone. They can hit you, but you can't shoot more than 3 inches.
5. The default control sensitivity and settings make the game border on unplayable. You'll spend a LOT of time editing this before you'll be comfortable even walking around.
6. The classic battlefield class setup has been destroyed. This feels as though the base of the battlefield series has been replaced by a vastly inferior system.
7. As far as I've seen, you cannot level up weapons in the portal.
8. Controlling your weapons while firing is like trying to aim a gun made of silly putty. ADS recoil control makes no sense at all.
9. The core maps have vast open areas with very little to no cover, making on foot movement nearly impossible in many situations.
10. The primary game modes have no server list, meaning instead of 4-8 heavily populated late night servers, you are guaranteed 40%-60% bot teams. Also you cannot choose the server with the best connection for you. The lack of a primary mode server list is a devastating hit to the series and borders on unforgivable.
11. They were gutsy enough to release a game in the 4th quarter of 2021 WITHOUT voice support. This is a true indication that this release was more of a money grab than a new installation to a two decade running war series with the support of hundreds of thousands of players. This is an inexcusable lack of pride in modern game features and player support.
12. The lack of weapons, bombers, and large scale landscape destruction is just sad.
Conclusion: Wait till this game is either $5, or free with a premium system membership. The dev team were clearly drinking sand while making it. A huge disappointment and a decisive waste of money in it's current state.
