Detailed and well narrated masterpiece!
Narcos is one of my most favorite shows. it is based on real personalities and events and that makes it more interesting. Generally real life stories become flat and shallow at some points but in Narcos, every single character is really interesting and well shaped. First two seasons were based on Pablo Escobar, the great drug Lord of Medellin. Pablo is my most favorite character ever. He was bad ,crual but damn smart and passionate towards his goals. He got what he wanted at any cost. I don't know why till the end I supported Escobar rather than supporting police and DEA! I loved him despite his being a violent criminal and that was because makers portrayed him very neutrally, his badness and good things both were shown as they were so till the last bomb blast near President's place ,I really supported him. But at that point you automatically start wishing his death, you start feeling that now it's enough and then he dies! His death sequence was very well shaped. Pablo's good things were also narrated well. He was a family man who's family was most important thing for him and his family supported him till the end. His buisness was also very well detailed and I got mesmerized watching the way narcos earned money and sold drugs. His only fault was that he was violent, every other thing he did was a chain of cause and effect.
And at the other end DEA was damn passionate to catch him. Murphy and Pena were mind blowing. I loved their work style and bonding. Pena shook hands with enemies and his approach really worked. Los pepes were awesome. Whatever they did they did it for good reasons. Murphy was simply arrogant to catch Escobar and he didn't give up till the end. Every cop is not bad, there are always good people in every place. Trujillo and Martinez were excellent example of it.
I really felt bad when Escobar was shot! His end days were just beautifully shown. His contemplation and misery were telling that whatever you do you have to pay for that. His father's hatred towards his son proved that money and power are useless when your destiny has planned your Fall.
I thought s3 would be ueslss without Escobar! But I was totally wrong!! S3 was the most thrilling season. It showed Cali cartel's empire and it's downfall. Rodriguez bros were totally opposite of Escobar. They lived in shadows and earned money more smartly and silently. In s3 Pena was just awesome. He took all the risks and political pressure and worked damn hard to end the cartel. Gilberto and Miguel's arrests were so thrilling. Pacho and Chepe were interesting. Salcedo was really amazing and he played awesome role in all the action. And at last when Pena arrested all of them but he knew that America was playing dirty politics with Columbian people, he did the real life heroic thing and released the conversation of Gilberto and president.
The best thing of show was it's violence! Yes. This is one of those shows that is able to shake your soul by gunfires .Young boys dying in drug wars was shocking and painfull to see. You feel bad for Columbian people and their sufferings.
So the whole thing of Narcos was a proof of existence of Karma. You get what you do. Early or lately you have to pay for your good and bad deeds.
So it was a must watch show and it won't bore you for a second! Apart of all sci-fi and fiction stuff it was good to see something a bit political ,a bit commercial and a bit violent.
