Echoing everyone's sentiments that this is an expertly crafted and visually compelling film, particularly the huge variety of footage and the compelling, rich editing. Aside from the reflection on acting, fame, and family it is also an important story about disability, something that most of us will live to experience ourselves as we age (if we haven't already). 'VAL' is a real contribution to films about disability and identity and succeeds because of it's openness on the subject.
