I’m only an hour in but I can honestly rate it 5 stars. I don’t care if the game ended now or if it somehow stops being enjoyable (I’m confident it won’t). It’s not a game; it’s an experience. The visuals alone make it unique, endearing, and inspiring. The music and score take it to a level I have not seen (or heard) in my 35+ years of gaming. Oh, and don’t forget we also have a story that is somehow relatable, humorous, nostalgic, and empowering all at the same time. The comedic overtones make sure it doesn’t get to a point where it’s too sugary sweet, and the good feelings never feel forced. I was getting bored of gaming (storylines, mechanics and visuals etc.). I thought I would never truly be excited to play a game again. I’m extremely relieved that I was wrong on all accounts. This game has renewed my faith in a craft that I thought had run its course and nothing “new” could/would be experienced. Please give this game a try and tell others about it. The developers are redefining what games can be, how they are made, and proves imagination is alive and well in the industry.
