Shame on Susan Sarandon (who I always have admired and held in high esteem) for signing onto a script that stinks of racial profiling and stereotyping of African Americans…why the negative portrayal of the two young African American characters? They deal in drugs? They steal cars? Gimme a break! Such a totally unnecessary racist angle to subtly slip into what would otherwise have been just another lighthearted comedy. Guess back in 2015, being politically correct or culturally sensitive was not the glaring lexicon of the then-unenlightened Stage. Betcha this half-baked plot would not be worthy of a pilot in 2021!!
