The movie is a gem, gripping, doesn't get boring even for a second. Tom Hanks has played the role of Forrest exquisitely so as Gary Sinise (Lt. Dan). The movie Forrest Gump is about the story of the life of a character named Forrest Gump who was (mentally retarded) as child. The story begins with him sitting on a bench waiting for a bus number 9 via which he had to visit to meet his childhood "special" friend Jenny. As he was sitting on it another traveler (a lady) came and he (Forrest) asked her about her shoes. And then he started to tell her about his story which makes the majority of the movie. The movie tells us, first, that the miracles, as his mother told him, happen even though they are rare (not rare in the movie though). Second, you don't necessarily have to be smart or cunning, even a simple and spotless minded person like Forrest was, can achieve more than good enough in this world. Third, you don't always have to face a troublesome situation, you can make use of running sometimes.
