This movie should not be taken literally. There is so much symbolism and is incredibly poetic. As an avid reader and writer, this movie was fascinating, sad, and horrifying. Those who are not capable of analytically thinking may have difficulty understanding the symbolism of this masterpiece. Very well done and executed.
