The only thrill I received from this watching this movie is knowing one more minute has passed until it ends. Accurate to its description of "bleak". This movie has convinced me to lose faith in humanity's ethical integrity and instead has strengthened the possibility of what a man will do in pursuit of selfish interest. I understand it's purely fictional; however, I failed to see the purpose of producing a movie so predictable with a plot so obvious. If not for Jake Gyllenhaal's acting, I would give this movie 0 stars. How the movie received an Oscar Nomination is beyond me.
