Daring, original, unrepentantly brilliant. If you are looking for the supermarket horror trope that we have been inundated with for far too long, you won't find it here. Stopmotion is a film that focuses on an artist and the lengths she will go to in order to create. What's better than that? Due to past family trauma that forces her to constantly question her abilities (super relatable if you're an an artist of any medium--like me), Stopmotion pulls us into a downward spiral. The movie descends into madness and the ending really pays off (if you get it). I'm buying the DVD for my collection, I loved it so much.
