It was a wonderful adaptation! I’ve seen the musical and read the book. I definitely missed some of the songs from the musical but overall it was great. I cried like a baby four times while seeing it. And it’s pretty hard to make me cry. I highly recommend it; Don’t let a short 15 second clip from tiktok discourage you or cause you to develop a bias towards it. Ben Platt played the role swimmingly.
