painfully real. if it had a "good ending" it would be just another fairy tale among thousands of other movie/animes. instead it delivered something much more. i still remember, years before, playing this for first time and having this nail-digging, butt-clenching experience, contrary to what was on the screen. you'll get it once you watch it.
