It was OK. The 2 main characters were quite sweet. I feel like it didn't really explore why they were having issues in the first place though? They try to have sex in front of the fire at one point and he opens his eyes and looks at her and stops. And she makes a big thing out of it, like, you never look at me, is it because you don't find me attractive, and he says no, but it's not really explained what's going on? The man has issues and they just never get explained. Seriously if anyone understands what's happening please let me know, it's annoying me! It feels like they've missed out a few important revealing scenes. Anyway, overall it was OK, Steve Carrell is great, although his character is totally one dimensional. TLJ did a great job - his character clearly has depth, it's just a shame it goes unexplored. Meryl Streep's character is a bit docile and saccharine. For a movie with (basically) only 3 characters in it... It's alright. 🤷♀️
