Carbon is a visual heaven :)
Creativity and subtle detailing at its best.
Caution:- This movie isn't for you if you are expecting entertainment, masala or peppy songs.
The 'Munnariyippu' director has produced another classic in Carbon.
Small starcast, but the attention to detail given to every character is splendid. So much so that they'd leave a lasting impression.
Fahad lives and breathes as Siby. His performance is class-apart.
Kochu Preman, Mamta, Sphadikam George, Manikandan, Soubin, Dileesh Pothan, Sharafuddeen and Praveena leave us with their characters in our minds.
The work is arguably the veteran's best yet, and the cinematography works in blissful communion with nature. Every scene has been captured to perfection.
Certain scenes are as intense as you'd expect from a 'forest-and-foliage-filled' movie.
Music and the BGM works in sync with the situation and portrays the eerie and deep emotions perfectly.
The journey in the movie that begins from a whacky youngster's fantasy-based theories turns into a struggle to find his place, which is when it becomes as much a survival saga as it is a treasure hunt.
Sadly what the film lacks is a bit of sustenance. It might bore you at times if you expected loud dialogues and action sequences or even a bit of masala.
For anyone who loves movies in its pure form this one will surely leaves us thrilled and wanting for more.
