Alright, so to justify this being in the reviews I want to start by saying that I really like this film. It had a really interesting premise, pretty awesome effects, and a great cast. If you've heard anything about the ending, I want to reassure that it's not actually that bad as I feel some reviews make it out to be, though I understand entirely why it can be so divisive. Personally I really enjoyed it. Now as to why I actually wanted to write this. If you see the score on google and get worried, I need you to know that I think it's being dragged down by a film of the same name. I originally looked up Ghost Stories as I was hoping to re-watch it, only to find the 2.8 rating. I immediately looked through the reviews. To start out I found a review of the correct movie that had, what I thought to be fair critiques and justified it's low rating. HOWEVER, as I went down the comments, disregarding the many ones that praised the film, I found multiple comments mentioning things that were not in this film, such as cast members or technical issues. The nail in the coffin was the name drop of director Anurag Kashyap. It turns out that he actually made a movie in 2020 of the same name. From what I've seen looking through these reviews, many of the negative ones seem geared towards that film. So, I beg that you do not let those reviews sway you from seeing this film. A lot of work was put into this movie and it would be a shame that it suffers from someone else's poor work.
